The Heidelberg University Office, Kyoto serves as a contact point for Heidelberg students who are currently studying in Japan. In addition, it provides services for Japanese and international students of all levels who would like to study in Heidelberg or wish to learn about Germany in general.
Cooperation in Research and Teaching
The Heidelberg University Office, Kyoto fosters the thriving collaboration in research and teaching between Heidelberg University and its Japanese partner institutions. It initiates new contacts and projects and assists in the realization of related events such as workshops and summer schools on bi- and multilateral levels.
As a liaison office in Japan the Heidelberg University Office, Kyoto supports activities of the German-Japanese university consortium HeKKSaGOn. The alliance was founded in 2010 as an association of three German and three Japanese universities: Heidelberg University, University of Göttingen, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Kyoto University, Osaka University, and Tohoku University.
Heidelberg Alumni Japan (HAJP)
Heidelberg Alumni International (HAI), the central alumni initiative of Heidelberg University, is a worldwide network for all former and current students, researchers, administrative and teaching staff. The Heidelberg University Office, Kyoto, supports alumni activities in Japan and serves as local base for the initiative Heidelberg Alumni Japan (HAJP).
